President Donald J. Trump of the United States of America and Chairman Kim Jong Un of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) held a first, historic summit in Singapore on June 12, 2018.

President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un conducted a comprehensive, in-depth, and sincere exchange of opinions on the issues related to the establishment of new U.S.–DPRK relations and the building of a lasting and robust peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.  President Trump committed to provide security guarantees to the DPRK, and Chairman Kim Jong Un reaffirmed his firm and unwavering commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Convinced that the establishment of new U.S.–DPRK relations will contribute to the peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula and of the world, and recognizing that mutual confidence building can promote the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un state the following:

  1. The United States and the DPRK commit to establish new U.S.–DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity.

  2. The United States and the DPRK will join their efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.

  3. Reaffirming the April 27, 2018 Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

  4. The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains, including the immediate repatriation of those already identified.

Having acknowledged that the U.S.–DPRK summit—the first in history—was an epochal event of great significance in overcoming decades of tensions and hostilities between the two countries and for the opening up of a new future, President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un commit to implement the stipulations in this joint statement fully and expeditiously.  The United States and the DPRK commit to hold follow-on negotiations, led by the U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, and a relevant high-level DPRK official, at the earliest possible date, to implement the outcomes of the U.S.–DPRK summit.

The Media stuttered because they were not the conveyor of news between two world leaders.  The propaganda machine tried to speculate, discuss, and outright fabricate many scenarios.  But all failed because the leaders in question made a private deal to get together and for the first time in many years and just talk.

Many things may come out of this.  Some good and some bad.  That is to be expected.  After seventy (70) years of conflict and bashing propaganda that set the region on edge, this is a good start.

There have been many attempts in the past by many US leaders, Presidential, Congressional, and other individuals, but all in all, they were worried about their political future rather than actually finding a peaceful solution.  There will be the naysayers and their puppet media outlets but if a good solution is presented to the American people and they feel it is in their best interest, the American people will force their congressional elected leaders to approve it or get replaced.  For if the diplomatic process ever fails and sometimes it does.  The final option doesn’t allow for safe spaces.

via Alleged Leaker Engaged in ‘Betrayal’ of Public Trust, Prosecutor Says

The indictment of a top Senate staffer in a leak investigation touched off more concerns about politicized leaking of what is supposed to be secret government information.

A federal grand jury in Washington indicted James A. Wolfe, 58, the director of security for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, for lying to FBI investigators in the course of a leak investigation.

Wolfe’s job was safeguarding all classified information in the possession of the committee, according to the Justice Department.

“These leaks shouldn’t be happening. This was not a case of a whistleblower, but an actual violation of security protocol,” said Sidney Powell, a former federal prosecutor who was the chief of the appellate divisions in the Western District of Texas and Northern District of Texas. “This is a government employee entrusted with national security secrets and [he] apparently had no hesitation about leaking them and then lying about it.”

Why is it so hard to find people who can do their job in protecting the national security of the United States?  I am sure that it is happening at all government agencies but more so on the Legislative side of the Government.  Many of those that are elected and their staff cannot pass the screening requirements for a security rating.  We hold our breath everyday that they at least do not slip up and speak to the wrong person about something they haven’t a clue what it is about.  This is not just about national security but also other classified stuff that may be part of a larger criminal investigation that if leaked, will nullify the ability of the judicial system to correctly decide the guilt or innocence of the person in question.

There are probably reporters in Washington that have a better chance of getting a security clearance than our elected officials and their staff.  Why do I say this?  If our elected officials and staff are always spouting off in public, whispering over lunch, or at the bar. You know there is a set of ears that either belong to a reporter or one of their unknown sources nearby and the public will never hear about it.

via Democrats Anger Bernie Sanders Supporters with Rule Change for Presidential Candidates

Supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders bristled Friday at a new rule being proposed by the Democratic National Committee that would require Democrat presidential candidates to identify as a Democrat.

The move came during a meeting of the DNC’s Rules and Bylaws Committee, which was meeting over the weekend in Providence, Rhode Island, Politico reported.

New of the proposed rule was tweeted by DNC member Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers. Weingarten said Democrats “changed the rules to ensure to run for President as a Democrat you need to be A Democrat.”

“At the time a presidential candidate announces their candidacy publicly, they must publicly affirm that they are a Democrat,” the rule said, according to Yahoo News. “Each candidate pursuing the Democratic nomination shall affirm, in writing, to the National Chairperson of the Democratic National Committee that they: A. are a member of the Democratic Party; B. will accept the Democratic nomination; and C. will run and serve as a member of the Democratic Party.”

Sorry Bernie, you want to be an Independent but run as a Democrat.  That is not going to fly anymore.  Looks like some of the big money party members wasn’t to happy with what you tried to pull the last primary season.  I know from what the media portrayed, they really did not know what your platform was and how it fit their agenda.  So, you took the spotlight away from their chosen one.  You were trying to dig into the big money pockets and that limited them when it came time to help the party candidate.  So if you want to try again to become the Democratic nomination the next time around you have to join them whole hog.

Or.

Are they scared that some sleeper Republican or other party will run?  Win the Primary, use their money in the general election and once sworn in, change party allegiance?  That would be somewhat funny.

Are they adding all this fine print to give them a way to get their money back?  Would this be so Mr. Sanders doesn’t buy that fourth or fifth beach house?

I could speculate but I will leave that to the Media.  It is hard to find a story with one confirmed fact now days.  It will fun to watch this play out.

World leaders are learning that America and President Trump will not lockstep march arm in arm no longer.  Everyone wants their economies to flourish and thrive but when even one country requires a tariff on their products it begins to get unfair fast.  All you need to do is look at what a country exports and imports to maintain their economy.

We will use Milk for an example.  using the website numbeo.com and all prices in the US Dollar.

In Canada the price for Milk will range from $3.66 to $10.34 with the average at $6.42 per gallon.

In the US the price for Milk will range from $2.20 to $4.00 with the average at $3.18.

Canada has a smaller Milk industry than the United States and in both Countries the industry supported by either direct support by the governments or by using tariffs.  For US milk to be sent to Canada, a 200% tariff or $2.76 is added as to not undercut the Canadian Milk industry.

Every country not only wants to keep their own industries running for their own economy but the political powers in every country make their money from the different lobbing groups of all these different industries.  If the Canadian government would drop the tariff then the sudden inflow of US Milk would devastate their industry and look at all those cows and people who would be out of work.  If both sides quit supporting the Milk industry the Canadian industry would still fold up while the US side would probably decrease a lot due to the rising cost at the store.  If you force people to pay more for something there will not be a need to buy it.

When you really start looking at what is imported and what is exported you will start getting a headache.  For truly fair trade you have to produce something the other guy really needs.  The US has been on the giving side when it comes to most of major manufacturing products that we export.  Previous administrations have been giving, giving, and giving causing a downturn in the economy and jobs while allowing cheaper and sometimes very inferior products to come into our marketplace.  This is something we have to turn around and having a businessman like Trump in office we have a chance.

Our nation’s educators push math, science, reading and social studies with an emphasis on standardized testing, but are students ready for the real world? Practical lessons grounded in agriculture could help prepare them for adulthood.

More than that, agriculture should be, and can easily be, incorporated into core subjects like math, science, reading and social studies.

First, why not? With a projected 57,000+ jobs available in agriculture and food science each year, these employment opportunities often go unfilled.

Second, your child eats three meals a day, right? When they go to the grocery store, don’t we want our youth informed as they make purchasing decisions? Don’t we want them armed with the facts, so they don’t have to feel guilt and confusion due to the misconceptions and biased opinions perpetuated by activists, food bloggers and the media?

In my travels I have met lots of people who are very smart.  They know their high-tech speciality beyond reproach.  they may even know or can handle some of the everyday skills like balancing a checkbook, popping something in the microwave, may even have an inkling of how to change a flat tire, or at least knowing where all the equipment is to change that tire.  You have to be careful because some of the new cars don’t even have a spare tire anymore.

My last year of high school, either due to scheduling or the teacher was worried  about me being in a science lab, I was not able to take chemistry.  ( I don’t know why. )  So I would not have too much Study Hall, I was sent to a “Terminal Math” class tought by our superintendent.  This was a review of all the basic math you learn in twelve years of school. You know, the stuff you will use everyday.  When we went over how to figure compound interest we were asked to ask our smart classmates in chemistry how to figure compound intrest for a loan they had real dumb looks.  Most of the people in the Terminal Math went on to become pretty good business leaders in the community and such.

When you meet people and start talking you find that in some cases that these people have never been beyond a six or ten blocks of  where they have lived their entire life or have never been outside the city limits of their town.  Their food comes from the store on the corner.  They have no idea that the fresh vegetables was harvested, depending on the season, in a foreign country then transported to the store near them.  Their breakfast cereal started in a field in Kansas, manufactured in Illinois, and on to the store near them.  Have no idea what GMO means.  That their pet food may have been manufactured in a country that has very little regulations like we have in the US by the FDA.

In order to provide a better general education we need a more rounded education of the basics.

A Delaying tactic for Term Limits

If people think that Congress is talking about it then they don’t have to force the issue.  WRONG!

An old approach to draining the Washington swamp has become new again as members of Congress push for congressional term limits.

Term limits were one of the items proposed in the 1994 Contract with America, developed by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. Although the issue was widely debated at the time, and term limits were imposed on some local and state elected positions, the bid to create term limits at the federal level never succeeded. Although some states sought to limit congressional terms, The Washington Post noted that a court rejected those efforts. Instead, imposing congressional term limits requires a constitutional amendment, which would require two-thirds passage in the bitterly divided houses of Congress and then ratification by 36 states.

Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania said he told Trump that there is a connection between length of service and corruption, according to the Washington Examiner. 

“I made clear to the president that, as a former FBI special agent who oversaw the FBI’s Political Corruption Unit for the entire nation, I witnessed firsthand an undeniable correlation between the length of time in office and the instances of corruption,” Fitzpatrick said. “The lines that were very bright for elected officials on day one in office were not so bright in year seven or eight, and even less so in years 15 or 20.”

It is clear that if we wait for Congress to get around to doing this themselves, the proverbial hot place will freeze over first.  Those that are currently riding the establishment of power in Congress will always come up with the one vote not to allow something to curtail their power or cut off the millions they receive in office for doing something the highest bidder will pay for.  That folks,  will not be what you voted for them to do.

If you do any research, you will see that what they have made over their years in elected public service far exceeds what they are actually paid for.  With this, there are a few that say they are not making enough.  Is that after they just bought their second or third beach house?

A constitutional amendment for congressional term limits could never achieve the blessing of Congress; it could be initiated only by the states.  Dwight D. Eisenhower

To get anything done in this way will require that every state place it on the ballot and force a Constitutional Convention.  This would be a very steep hill to walk and a hard fight against the established political power and the media giants to return us to the original democratic republic we are supposed to be.    What former President Dwight D. Eisenhower was trying to say is that it is up to the people who cast the ballots to collect the signatures and force the issue.  It is not enough to just stand and be counted.  It is up to all of us to get the conversation started and ram it past the elected establishment, the media, the judges, and the naysayers.

In states that have passed term limits, there have been large changes in the diversity of those elected to office and a greater discussion of what really to be done within the state.

So you got fired. Then you wrote a book.  Now you are running around all the Media networks trying to say how true the book is and such.  The first couple of days, you were the talk of the Media town.  The job you held was to be unpolitical and as center of the road as you can get.  We have equal justice for all.  Right?  The ones that worked under you were to follow your lead(s).   You Failed the American People.

Even the Media elite are starting to wonder if anything you say is true. Those of us that are not part of the DC Swamp or extreme sides of the Left or the Right are even sure you know what a Truth is anymore.  Your so called book only covers one area of your life and that you may have been fired with cause.  One would have assume that at one time you may have been a good at your job, but with all the media coverage starting from many years ago, the common folk have figured out which side of your bread is buttered.  It is not the side that works for them.

The only reason I may watch the morning news is to watch the different weather person try to outguess Mother Nature. They have the only job that does not require the truth all the time because Mother Nature can really throw a curve ball sometimes.  The kicker is that they still get paid for lying.  The rest of the news is so slanted that they tell the slant so good that it is hard to know if it is the truth or just their side of the truth.

Now, to get back to Mr. Comey’s book. Will I read it?  The answer will be: “No”.  Why?  Why should I read a book by someone that failed to do his job.  Under his watch, a high level person(s) or someone that think they are above the law, broke the law.  Even gave public news conference in which they admitted that they did something wrong and was never charged with the crime or taken in front of the Judicial bench to answer for their wrongdoing.  Whereas, if I or any one of us common people had done the same thing, we would be sitting in jail still waiting for the investigation to end.

Why do we have laws and nobody will follow them?

WHY?

What is wrong being a Citizen and only just voting? Absolutely Nothing. That is what the establishment wants.  Every voting cycle they will trot out the propaganda you need to hear and as soon as you do your civic duty of voting, you are not needed anymore.

We are told that,”We will take care of everything.” The establishment at all levels of government has failed us.  Our watchdogs, the News Media has failed us.  They have actually joined the Political Establishment and now perform as spokespersons for the establishment.  Where do we turn to find the Truth anymore?  The courts are rampant in their duty to help the establishment hide their past screw ups or criminal behavior.  Look at the amount of sealed settlement agreements that are coming to light now.  Look at how many of the forced signers of these agreements are now coming forth with allegations of wrong doing, some criminal and some socially immoral, and because of the years or lack of evidence are pointing to these super-secret settlement agreements as the only proof they have.  Many of these agreements came with cash rewards for their silence and one has to think, did the money run out and now they are trying to get more?

I do not doubt that some, if not all they are saying happened but it sure begs the question of why now? Is this for some political or financial gain?  Or, are they just pawns is someone else’s game?

We, as Citizens don’t need to have big rallies or riot in the street to change what we see or hear, we just need to ask our friends and neighbors that one question we are always hearing from two year olds, “Why?” “Why?” “Why?”

It has been a while since I sat down to do some writing.

Was I trying to get my mind wrapped around something?

No.

Was I trying to come up with a different approach to the problem?

Nope.

Was there something else going on in my life?

Maybe, but I am back!

 

It is time to rattle cages and fire some people up to either do their job that they were voted in to do or start planning to replace them. We have a two party system that is failing to serve the people.  There has been nothing come out of Congress in the last year that has helped or improved our country in the least.  The improvements have come from private sector mostly, with a little help or guidance from the President.  The Stock Market is up.  The economy is moving up faster than it was.  People feel more comfortable and are thinking they have more to spend for the upcoming holidays.  None of this is from anything Congress has done or is planning on doing in the near future.

HEY CONGRESS,

RECESS IS OVER!

One side of congress currently holds the majority on paper but many of them are not doing their job. The same party is in control of the Exceptive Branch and they cannot work together!

It is time for every Citizen to open their eyes and really start looking at the ones that they may have voted for. The ones that are supposed to represent you at all levels and ask, “Are they doing the Job I voted them to be doing?”  I need you to do this at all levels of government from School Board, Township or Parish, to City, to County, to State, all the way up to National Level.  I don’t care which party you may belong to or follow.  If you see something you don’t like, talk to your friends and neighbors.  It is up to every Citizen to break the status quo and make your elected leaders work for you.  If you want to break the current establishment and return us to a Constitutional Republic, lift you head and make your voice heard!
