Influenced or Rigged, A matter of Semantics?

In the last year like every election year since the founding of this county someone has gone around and cried that the elections are rigged. In some cases they are right but the winners and/or the losers always made sure that in the aftermath that there is no evidence that it had ever happened.  For those that dig into history and find some proof, they are labeled as conspiracy theorists or Crack-Pots or something else.

We don’t want the ignorant sheep that is the public to rise up in anger to learn that the Political Elite have been running the show from birth the death.

“Do as I say, Not as I do.”

“We know what is best for you.”

Since the beginning of this country the other countries of the world have tried to influence the elections for the top power spots of this country and we have been doing the same to the rest of the world. Now with internet social forums and the modern electronic age it is more work to keep it low keyed.  You never know when it might turn around and bite you in the ass.  Take a look on how hard the United States did not want President Putin in power in the new Russia.  Maybe he was just returning the favor.  Was his election influenced or rigged for him by outsiders or Russia’s political elite?

If you look at history, you will find that some of the biggest power players in the influence business have been the News Media. It probably started with the story telling bards of old.  They went around telling the next village the triumphs or fall of Kings and Heroes.  This grew into the Newspapers and then into the Television News.  Now we have the Internet Media and the old way of doing business is not putting the money into their pockets like they want.  With the advent of the social platforms of the internet, those losing money to the new way of doing things now scream everything is Rigged.  With every type of media used through the ages, there have been good and bad users.  It is still the same today.

There are some groups of hackers that may be associated or in the hire of a country that has caused trouble in one country or another. This has been an ongoing struggle to keep them in check.  There are many very smart or very lucky people out there that work on both sides of the issue.  Some for nationalist pride and some just for the money.

So, we find that in today’s world, if you no longer can influence a favorable outcome you cry that it was rigged.

OR

You find a better hacker.

Recap of the 2016 Election

From the conventions to the day after the election vote was a whirlwind of accusations and counter acquisitions.

The candidates weathered the storm with the big and little news people doing all their work for them.

The scorecard was being used every which way you can imagine.

We found polling data that was correct, incorrect or outright wrong.

The regular voting blocs were content that everything was either going their way on one side and the other was fighting with themselves to control their party.

In among all of this was a small ground swell of voters getting ready to step up and make a change.

A change the political elite was not ready to see or hear.

Now in a real election, you would not get the results till the county or township election boards certified the results in their bailiwicks to be truthful and not tampered with. Those results would then be sent to the State elections board for review and certified.  Once these results were made public then a new leader would be notified.  This usually takes at least a week.

Now days, the major News Networks take it among themselves to do an ‘Informal’ head count and then start touting the new or re-elected leader of the free world.  For those that watched the coverage on election night they saw the Talking Heads of the news networks where all happy at the start of their coverage and by the end of the night, they were at a loss of words as to what was happening.

Earlier I mentioned a ground swell of voters. They stepped up and made a decision to VOTE.  I would have like to said a tidal wave but that would be every legal United States of America citizen voting.

Late on election night, when the numbers started to signal a change the country held its breath. It was like watching a football game in the final seconds and with forth and ninety-nine, a quarterback sneak running for the touchdown.  Both sides cheered the last chance win but then the losing side realized they had lost.  They sat in stunned silence for a long time then they felt they got cheated.  They took to the streets to express their anger and in some cases caused riots.  While the rest of America turned returning to their lives.  But the elites and the News Networks want that dissent to further their goals.

Before the election you had one side saying the other side was rigging the voting and the major news networks and the White House was saying that it couldn’t happen and would never happen. Now that they lost, they are now coming forward saying it was rigged by someone or by other countries.

For a Presidential election there is one more step. The Electoral College.  This step in the Presidential election is the final step our founding fathers placed before us to ensure that select few states would maintain control of the government for their own benefit.

We close out the 2016 Election Year with many things still going on. What will the next year bring is still open to debate.

The Lull before the Storm

Not all the primaries are done, just a few left.

The real media has got all their researchers out looking for facts, digging in for the big one. Will they find the real truth(s)?

The mainstream media, the propaganda machine for their boardroom bosses on Wall Street, hope all the skeletons are nailed in the closet or buried deep enough from prying eyes.

A few Polls are done here and there. Do they represent the true feeling of America? Which America?

A last ditch effort for political parties and candidates to get funds they need.

The Old Guard is wringing their hands. Did they choose the right person to back and do they have a chance?

The New Guard is ecstatic. They think they have it in the bag.

The fringe candidate is stressed from the worry. Do they have a chance?

Is this all or nothing? The question is asked in thought.

What direction do we need our country to go?

Will we let the political elite pick our direction or will we the people?

The masses, some controlled, some dreaming, and some that really think for themselves feel the storm building on the horizon.

Who has the real answers?

Who has the real courage?

Who has the real clout?

Who will be a real leader?

We can only wait and see……….

Politics Rigged???

Now someone is running around saying in a ‘SHOCKING POLL’, that the elections are now rigged. Under what rock or drug induced life have you been living?  Anyone that took American History in high school knows that it has happened since the beginning of this nation.  (Do they even teach the ‘Real’ American History in schools anymore?)

Today we have computers and cell phones which brought about the new social media and instant results of what is happening in the world and right next door. With the amount digital excrement that is being force at us, you would think that we, the normal everyday person with a mundane job and family lived in conceivable bliss.  We are now told that everything we learned from the beginning of our lives and was a civil staple of our families’ lives is wrong.  We walk wrong. We talk wrong.  We eat wrong.  We live wrong.

It is time that this social experiment is stopped. It is time that one person’s vote is real.  Not to have one person pull a lever at a designed time and have ten thousand votes from the grave for one candidate or another, when the total live populace for the town at the time is eight thousand.  It is time that the political elite to lose their power over the people that are supposed to elect them.  The will of the people is supposed to be used by the elected to guide our path, not the will of the elected.

There are many arguments that can be placed to go either one way or another. The one I hear the most is the one of candidates promising to ‘Give’ you something for your vote.  So, you give your vote and they win.  Tit for Tat right. Now you want you’re something.  Now the elected official says, “I can’t give you your something because (some excuse about the opposing party, movement, or prior agreement I made.)…” “But please continue to support me as I do what you wish for.”

I believe that everyday people have seen that all elections are rigged in some way and we have been just following like sheep. I don’t care if it is my truth, your truth, or the real truth, it is time to find a leader that will not give you what you want but will lead you in what you need.

Do You Hear Anybody Laughing?

The way elections are done in the United States look pretty straight forward on paper and in history lessons. You get a chance to vote, if you are a citizen, for the presidential candidate of your choice and if that candidate wins the vote, he or she wins the election, right.  WRONG!

In the primary part of a general election, you have the candidates running around the country trying to sell you a pre-perceived platform of what they stand for and the direction they want to take the country. If they are a candidate of one of the bigger political parties, that platform will encompass the ideals and support of that party.  In the United States, you usually have candidates from the two main parties and have the backing either perceived or real with all kinds of support.  If they are not part of the mainstream establishment, the independent candidate is trying to gather support and funds to continue his or her campaign.  Unless they have their own money to spend the do not have much of a shot.  This country really likes underdogs or brash upstarts that are willing to fight the system but usually do not like to go out on a limb to support them.

Once the primary elections have been accomplished for the two main parties, you have their respective conventions. The winner of the primary voting is or will not be the parties’ candidate for the upcoming General election depending on the party’s elite bosses.  The bosses have to be very careful not to upset the base voter too much or everything may implode on them and the last thing they want is to lose any and all support they have garnered over the years in both public and backroom support.  A popular candidate that does not win the presidential bid from a convention has the option to run as an independent afterword and if they have enough general support from the masses may steamroll over either parties’ choices.  If an independent does win the general election, he or she must continue to grow and maintain that support of the masses to run the presidential term or become an ineffective leader after that.

Now to make sure that the general voter does not jump on the bandwagon of a popular or charismatic candidate that has little else to offer or is to extreme a shift from the status quo, there are many checks and balances in place. First is the news media, who are supposed to ferret out the real truth in any story and report responsibly.  Lately they have failed at this and a majority of the stories placed in front of the masses have leaned for or against a candidate with very little real information.  The second is the individual party conventions after the primary.  Whereas the party elite can either back or throw their support to a candidate that may not have even been in the primary elections.  The third is that after the General election, the Electoral College may either confirm the populace vote for a presidential candidate or put in place an alternate that fits the views and platform of the political bosses.

The political elite or bosses of our political establishment may or may not be elected or someone with deep pockets. So if you hear laughter in marbled halls, you can bet it is not from a general citizen voter.

How to define the begining.

POLITCS
1. the science of governments
2. political affairs
3. political methods, tactics, ect.
4. political opinions, ect.
5. factional scheming for power

Webster’s definition of the word “Politics” has as many characteristics as a hurricane of emotions that can well up in a person when it is thought or said.

Truth

1. a being true; specif., a) sincerity; honesty b) conformity with fact c) reality; actual existence d) correctness; accuracy
2. that which is true
3. an established fact

When you look at the definitions of the two words above, you will notice that they cannot be used together too often or not at all. As we watch the current political campaigns today in the USA, you will see that all sides try to use them together. We are now living in the era of the lack of truth.

The Truth may not be my truth or your truth. We all have worked or seen the Truth slanted one way or another for ones own use or benefit in life or advancement in money or power. It has been this way from the beginning of time. There are two or three occupations that use this as a way of life in order to get the recognition, money or power they so desire. What we, the citizens, need to do is to keep asking the tough questions to keep those with power or our elected officials pointed towards the Truth. If we do not, we will all lose something.

I started this blog to try to keep asking those questions, no matter how outrageous or off topic they seem.
